Teen Vogue now has a British counterpart, and her name is Miss Vogue. Vogue‘s “little sister” will launch its first issue in June packaged with the magazine to attract new readers to its existence. “I admire Teen Vogue and it certainly has been an inspiration, but I felt Miss Vogue needed a different feeling for the UK,” British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman told Women’s Wear Daily, who acted as the editor-in-chief for the first issue. “It’s got a more British sensibility, I think, than Teen Vogue.”
Understandably so, considering, the audience–15 to 24-year-olds who are passionate about Vogue. Not surprisingly the glossy’s first covergirl British model/force to be reckoned with Cara Delevigne. She “was an obvious choice when deciding our inaugural Miss Vogue cover star–her fun loving spririt and carefree style perfectly encapsulates what the magazine is about,” British Vogue reported.
Inside there are features like “playful shopping pages, a look a the “fashion-savvy interns style, an interview with “Homeland” star Morgan Saylor and Tavi Gevinson, reports WWD.
The issue hits newsstands with Vogue on May 6th.
